The leather on the seat and back
I chose a full-grain calfskin leather in two shades of cognac, depending on the relief. For the piping and buttons, I used smooth cognac cowhide leather, which creates a contrast and highlights the curves of the chair.
The leather-covered shell
I covered the shell with the same leather as the seat, adding a line of smooth cognac leather at the top/bottom junction (there must be a junction) identical to the buttons, to create a matching effect. The shell is now completely covered and the "plastic" look of the shell has vanished.
Inside the chair
For the seat, which is soft and comfortable, dual density 90% latex + 10% HR 17kg. For the low and high backrest, dual density HR 35kg + HR 17kg.
The early four legs base on casters
The base is a early edition, which I have dismantled, cleaned, and lubricated thoroughly. That's the original version of the office chair from the 65s/70s with a shock absorber for the backrest. It has manual height adjustment via a ring that is fairly easy to use and, above all, very reliable. The chrome is in excellent condition.
